Swift Current United Coach Certification Process
By following this chart, you will be fulfilling the requirements set forth by Sask Soccer in order to coach in Saskatchewan.
Step 1: Request a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check from the RCMP in Swift Current. For this you'll have to go in person to the RCMP dispatch. Before going to the dispatch, contact Swift Current Soccer for our VSC letter which will ensure this process is free for you. |
Step 2: Go to https://thelocker.coach.ca/account/login?ReturnUrl=%2f and create an account - this will give you an NCCP number. It's an important number that you use for some coaching things. After that, there are some online courses on the same website you'll need to take: 1. Making Headway in Soccer 2. NCCP Emergency Action Plan 3. Understanding the Rule of Two |
Step 3: Take the Making Ethical Decisions online training. For this training, you'll need to register online for one of these dates: https://saskcoach.ca/nccp-training/upcoming-courses/
The training costs 50 dollars, which we will reimburse you for. |
Step 4: After step 3 is complete, go back to the NCCP website (thelocker.coach.ca) and complete this online evaluation: NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation |
